Suzanne has an affinity for courageous founders and currently leads Capital Angel Network to expand early capital access. Suzanne is energized by challenges and met many ‘first’ moments while serving as an engineering officer in the Canadian Air Force and Army.
Leadership drew her to the role of officer, and curiosity about human behaviour pulled her toward entrepreneurship. Mid career transition, Suzanne accepted a family adventure and moved to Qatar where she launched a strategic communications agency. She advised Virgin Healthbank, Samsung, Accenture, the Middle East’s first Science and Technology Park and Tennis ICON Serena Williams.
After returning to Canada Suzanne volunteered with Startup Canada’s global and insights team and later co founded a brain-machine interface medical technology startup. Suzanne has done business in 17 countries, directly closed $25M in deals and $5M in direct, non- dilutive and equity investments.
She’s won several awards including Startup Canada’s Innovation Award. Suzanne founded “Spirit of Empowerment’ a catalyst movement for young aspiring Arab women. She successfully pitched The Queen of Qatar to sponsor the flagship event.
