Hugh Smith is a CFA charter holder and obtained his MBA from Hult International Business School in Shanghai, Dubai and London. He is an Investment Management Specialist with Refinitiv (formerly the Financial and Risk business of Thomson Reuters) and works with institutional investors — pensions, endowments, asset managers, hedge funds and wealth managers — across North America on implementing data and intelligence into their investment management process. Hugh’s specialty is environmental, social & governance (ESG) data and analytics and writes a regular column in the Globe & Mail around sustainable / responsible investing.
