Alok Ahuja is a serial entrepreneur and a business professional who has been deeply rooted in the world of ecommerce for +15 years. He started his career in 2006 helping to scale a startup around web personalization, and after 5 years was able to help grow the business and aid in it going public to the TSX.V. Shortly after he was able to get acquired by a Microsoft Gold Partner, Cactus Commerce, to help implement the web personalization software into Microsoft Commerce Server 2009. From there it was exposure and working closely with much of the IR500, from Honeywell, Aramark and yes….Hamburger University for McDonald’s. After 5 years of helping the enterprise, he set his goals on helping a local startup in Ottawa who was also interested in tackling enterprise ecommerce known as Shopify. Upon arrival he helped scale Shopify Plus and launch the Shopify Plus Partners Program which brought large digital agencies into the fold with Shopify Commerce. This was the emergence of well known global brands making their way to Shopify Plus (Fred Segal, Kylie Cosmetics, Ellen Shop etc.). After the launch of the Partners program, Alok set his goals on tying this all together by launching a Shopify marketplace that enabled merchants to connect with the Plus Partners, helping them to get work done immediately on their storefronts. After completing his Shopify journey in 2018, he was faced with a local delivery challenge that prevented him from getting merchandise from a local pharmacy, and thus powered his vision to architect a local delivery platform that is now known as Trexity. He is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Trexity, which has just successfully completed a $5M seed round led by Telus Ventures.
